After an outstanding sales scenario of KIA SELTOS, Kia is back with a mindblowing compact SUV KIA SONET. KIA Sonet 2020 has hiked the excitement of buyers and automobile enthusiasts as well after its premiere which has held on 7th august 2020, yet Korea hasn’t confirmed the launching date but it is estimated that the car would be launched somewhere near September or around festive seasons in India.
Looking back at the overwhelmed and awesome response of KIA Seltos, it is expected that KIA is again ready to rule the Indian automotive markets by introducing Sonet that would range between Rs. 7 lakh – Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom) price segment.
KIA SONET VARIANTS
Starting with the engine types, the all-new KIA Sonet comes in 3 different engine categories:-
- 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine
- 1.0 T-GDi petrol engine
- 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine
The company presented the car under two segments, i.e. GT Line and Tech line.
The variants coming under GT line have been given a stunning sporty design. It has been also noticed that KIA Sonet variants coming under GT line have a black and red coloured theme, its grills, steering wheel, gear lever, seats etc are provided with the same colour theme to make the car look more sporty.
There is one more major difference between the two segments, i.e. that KIA Sonet variants under GT line serves you with the powerful 1.0-litre turbo GDi power engine, the turbo comes only for these premium GT segment that provides you with two gear transmission models, 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT.
Nevertheless, the Tech line variants are also equipped with great feature except the turbo power and come only with manual gear transmission. The colour theme of the models are kept in silver and black giving it a classy look and provides you with two variants , 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.5-diesel engine.
